Toyota HMV (High Mobility Vehicle) was introduced in 1993. "Megacruiser" is a name of civilian model. "High Mobility Vehicle" is called "Kohkidousya" in Japanese language. Generally JGSDF soldiers seem to call it "Koh-Ki" for short.
HMV was employed as a succession vehicle of Toyota 1.5t truck at the beginning. but, HMV and 1.5t trucks are deployed together now, because a new1.5t truck was employed by JGSDF.
